Ysgol Tan y Gopa is a primary school located in Abergele, Conwy, providing education for children
from Nursery to Year 6.

Our school operates across two sites, designed to support children at each stage of their education. The Infant Site is home to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, while the Junior Site welcomes pupils in Years 3 to 6.

At Ysgol Tan y Gopa, we are proud to provide a caring, inclusive and inspiring learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Through engaging learning experiences, strong partnerships with families and our wider community, and a commitment to the Curriculum for Wales, we aim to help every child flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Guided by our motto, ‘Roots to Grow, Stars to Reach’ (Gwreiddiau i Dyfu, Sêr i’w Cyrraedd), we nurture children to become ambitious, capable learners; enterprising, creative contributors; ethical, informed citizens; and healthy, confident individuals, helping them to flourish both in school and beyond.
