At Ysgol Tan y Gopa, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to share their ideas, contribute to school life and help shape our community. We encourage pupils to take an active role in decision-making, developing leadership skills, confidence and a sense of responsibility.

Throughout the year, pupils can become involved in a range of pupil leadership groups, including our School Council, Rights Respecting Group, Eco Committee and other groups that support different aspects of school life. These groups work alongside staff to share ideas, lead projects, organise events and help make positive changes within our school.

Pupil voice is also gathered regularly through class discussions, questionnaires and opportunities to reflect on learning, ensuring that every child has the chance to be heard and valued.

By listening to and working alongside our pupils, we aim to create a school where everyone feels respected, included and empowered to make a positive difference.
